What’s the Scoop on Poop? Each and every one of us poops. Many children feel ashamed or embarrassed for pooping. This colorfully illustrated book offers a light-hearted approach to teaching your child the importance of this normal daily activity. In the back of the book there is a Potty Chart to help track your child’s progress and achieve success with their toilet training skills. From eating food to going to the bathroom, this book explains the process in words a child can understand. You will eventually have to discuss this subject with your child. Sometimes it seems almost impossible to get kids to eat a healthy diet. Nutritious food can seem unappealing to a child and from an adult perspective, just too time consuming to prepare. But, kids who eat healthier are much healthier kids and they are far better equipped to handle their emotions and control their behavior. So, feeding children nutritious meals is a good investment in the physical, mental and emotional health of our children! How do we get children to eat healthy foods? With the expertise of Holistic Nutrition Counselor Rose Payne, CHHC, Speech Language Pathologist Dianne Lazer MA, CCC-SLP/COM, and Dr. Padron, MD, FAAP this book gives kids the tools they need to make their own wise food choices. Here is a book that illustrates how healthy food can affect not only overall health but a child’s (and family’s) quality of life.

Dianne Lazer and Chris Bauman team up with graphic designer Christina Daniels to create a complementary how-to book on breathing for children four – eight years old. Our Brain and the Good Breathing Book was inspired by Dianne’s work with her speech and feeding pediatric patients who are also in the process of learning breathing exercises. This time, she collaborates with long-time Buteyko Breathing Educator and trainer, Christine Bauman. Chris has worked with children and breathing since 2000.

This book is one full of colorful, fanciful and instructive images that support the text about how to breathe well. It provides a good review and background as to why young patients are asked to do various exercises, to develop self-awareness and consequently changes in behaviors, with the resultant benefits to their physical, mental and spiritual health. Our Brain and the Better Breathing Book is a must have for breathing educators working with the pediatric population who want to provide a comprehensive, user friendly therapy program to help children they serve.
